What to expect when you arrange Marriage Coaching or an Evergreen Parenting course, including payment, privacy and changes of plan.

Marriage Coaching is provided by Henk Kruger trading as Marriage Rescue 911. Linda is part of the coaching team; Henk is the contracting supplier.

Coaching appointments

We offer practical Christian relationship coaching for couples and individual spouses. You can begin even if your spouse is not ready. We agree who will attend and whether Henk, Linda or both will coach each appointment.

You can enquire about coaching or choose a free 20-minute online introduction. The introduction is optional: it is a chance to meet, ask questions and consider whether coaching is suitable. It is not a substantive coaching session, and there is no obligation to book a paid appointment.

An extended appointment involves approximately 90–120 minutes of coaching, with two hours reserved. A focused follow-up is an optional 60-minute appointment. Online appointments are arranged by mutual agreement. In-person sessions are available locally by arrangement, with exact meeting details provided privately after booking.

Fees and payment

• Free introductory conversation – free.
• Extended coaching session – US$150 internationally; R1,200 for South African residents.
• Focused follow-up – US$90 internationally; R750 for South African residents.

Fees are per appointment, not per person. The South African fee is based on ordinary residence, not citizenship. Appointments are agreed individually; there are no compulsory coaching packages.

After we agree on an appointment, we’ll send you an invoice with the available payment options. Fees are charged in South African rand for South African residents and US dollars for international clients. Payment must be received before an appointment is confirmed.

We agree the participants, coach or coaches, format, date, time and fee, and supply the coaching agreement before payment. The published fee is the amount you pay; we cover ordinary payment-processing costs without adding a surcharge or administration fee.

Where there is enough time before the appointment, the provisional slot may be held for 48 hours while payment is awaited. The invoice gives the deadline and time zone. An unpaid slot may then be released. This payment hold is not a cancellation penalty.

Cancellation, rescheduling and late arrival

Please use the agreed contact route if your plans change. These arrangements apply to coaching appointments and do not limit your mandatory consumer rights.

Cancelling before the session begins

If you cancel a paid appointment before the coaching session begins, we will refund the appointment fee in full, however late you cancel. There is no minimum notice period or late-cancellation penalty. We do not deduct ordinary payment-processing costs from your refund. If you prefer to reschedule, we can discuss a suitable available appointment.

Confirmed appointments and missed sessions

Once an appointment is confirmed, the agreed time is reserved for you. If you do not attend and have not cancelled, it is a missed appointment. A refund is not automatic, but we will consider your circumstances and applicable legal rights when deciding whether to refund or reschedule. Repeated cancellations or no-shows at free introductions or paid appointments may affect whether we offer further coaching. A refund does not guarantee another appointment.

Once a session has begun or been provided

Coaching begins when you attend and the coaching work actually starts, not simply when the scheduled time arrives. A missed appointment does not by itself mean the service has begun. Once coaching has begun or been provided, the fee is not automatically refundable. We may offer a refund or adjustment where reasonable in the circumstances. Your mandatory consumer rights still apply.

If we need to cancel or start substantially late

If Henk or Linda must cancel a paid appointment, you may choose a mutually suitable replacement appointment or a full refund. If we start substantially late, we will make up the time where reasonably possible or agree an appropriate adjustment.

If you arrive late

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. We will use the remaining time as effectively as possible, but cannot guarantee an extension beyond the agreed end time.

The free introductory conversation

The 20-minute introductory conversation is free, with no obligation to book a paid coaching session and no cancellation charge. Please let us know if you cannot attend. The consideration of repeated cancellations or no-shows applies to introductions as well as paid appointments.

Cooling-off rights

For a coaching agreement concluded electronically, you may cancel without giving a reason or paying a penalty within seven days of concluding it, with a full refund within 30 days of cancellation. This cooling-off right does not apply if coaching actually begins within that period with your consent. Booking, payment or a missed appointment alone does not remove it.

Our promise to refund a paid appointment cancelled before the session begins remains binding. Apart from that commitment, nothing in these terms is intended to limit any other rights or remedies available to either party under applicable law. Your mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

Scope and expectations

Coaching can help you understand patterns and practise different responses. It cannot guarantee reconciliation, restoration, a change in your spouse or a particular outcome. Progress depends on each person’s choices and actions, and on the information available.

Coaching is not psychotherapy, medical or psychiatric care, legal advice or emergency support. If something would be better handled by a specialist, we will say so and may recommend appropriate professional help. Where there is immediate danger, violence, coercive control or serious safety risk, specialist or local emergency support takes priority.

You may stop coaching. We may decline an enquiry, decline further appointments or discontinue coaching if the service is unsuitable, falls beyond our competence, or cannot continue safely or constructively. This can become clear during the introduction or later. We make these decisions fairly, without unlawful discrimination, and explain the reasons and discuss suitable next steps where reasonably possible. The cancellation and refund arrangements above still apply.

Confidentiality

Henk and Linda work together as your coaching team and may discuss relevant matters with each other. If one spouse speaks to us privately during coaching, we do not automatically share that information with their spouse. If you want something kept from your spouse, please tell us when you share it so that we can discuss how it should be handled. Some disclosures may mean joint coaching needs to pause while we consider the appropriate next step.

We treat what you share with care and discretion. Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required by law or necessary to address serious safety concerns. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your information, retention and your privacy rights.

Between appointments

Between-session contact is for scheduling, administration and brief clarification agreed with your coach. It does not include unlimited messaging, round-the-clock or crisis support, or guaranteed immediate replies.

Recording and feedback

Neither you nor the coaches may make an audio or video recording of a coaching session without the prior knowledge and agreement of everyone participating. This includes built-in meeting-platform recording, screen recording, phone recording and AI meeting recording or transcription tools.

If a recording is agreed, its purpose, access, retention and deletion must be agreed separately beforehand. Recording is not enabled by default.

Private feedback is optional and does not give us permission to publish a testimonial. Publication requires separate permission covering the exact wording, attribution and where it may appear.

Governing law and resolving concerns

South African law governs our coaching agreement, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply. South African courts with jurisdiction may hear disputes on a non-exclusive basis; you may use another competent court where the law allows.

Service providers and correspondence

Marriage Rescue 911 is the shared website for two independent sole proprietors. Marriage Coaching is provided and invoiced by Henk Kruger trading as Marriage Rescue 911. Evergreen Parenting courses are provided by Linda Kruger, who issues her own invoices and receives course payments into her own approved account. The shared website does not combine the two providers into a separate legal entity.

Evergreen Parenting with Linda Kruger

Journey Through the Parenting Garden is an Evergreen Parenting programme developed by Hettie Brittz and presented independently by Linda Kruger, a registered Evergreen Parenting facilitator. Linda supplies the courses, issues her own invoices and receives payment into her own approved account.

The Journey Through the Parenting Garden course consists of five fortnightly live online sessions of approximately 2½ hours each – 12½ hours of live learning. Session 1 is a free introduction, with no obligation to continue. No online materials or preparatory videos are required before Session 1.

After Session 1, you decide whether to continue. The standard continuation fee is R975 per family for Sessions 2–5, including the online materials. There is no reduced fee for a single parent attending alone. Materials become applicable after Session 1: before each of Sessions 2–5, parents are required to watch approximately 50–90 minutes of assigned video material to prepare for the discussion. This preparation is additional to the live learning time.

Linda confirms enrolment and payment arrangements manually. A registration request does not reserve a place or confirm enrolment, and does not commit you to paid continuation. The published intake states its applicable continuation fee, and Linda supplies the course-specific terms before payment.

Withdrawing before Session 2 begins

If you have paid the R975 fee and choose to withdraw before Session 2 begins, you receive a full R975 refund if you have not accessed any online materials. If you have accessed online materials, R350 is retained for Hettie Brittz’s programme-materials cost, and R625 is refunded. The R350 is included in the R975 fee, not an additional charge.

Withdrawing after Session 2 begins

Once Session 2 has begun, there is no automatic refund if you choose to withdraw. Please speak to Linda about your circumstances; she may consider them individually and exercise reasonable discretion.

Missing a session

If you miss a session, Linda will help you catch up where reasonably practical. Where space and arrangements allow, you may also be invited to attend the corresponding session in a future course. This cannot be guaranteed and does not automatically entitle you to a refund or replacement session.

If Linda cancels or changes the course

If Linda cancels or materially changes the course, she will offer a suitable alternative arrangement or an appropriate refund if you cannot accept it. Before paid continuation begins with Session 2, a refund in these circumstances covers all fees paid, without retaining the R350 materials component. If paid teaching is already underway, Linda will refund the undelivered portion appropriately, taking into account what has actually been provided.

These arrangements do not limit any applicable statutory consumer rights. The Marriage Coaching appointment and cancellation terms above do not automatically apply to Parenting courses.

If you decide to continue after the introductory session, Linda will confirm the payment arrangements, access to course materials and any applicable cancellation rights before you pay. Any express agreement needed to start during a cooling-off period is separate from your registration request.
